Welcome to the Functional English Communication Course! 

I am excited to meet you all through this custom-made course to help you with English language learning. 

This course has been carefully designed to help you hone and improve your communication skills. This program is designed to empower learners like you with the practical English skills required to succeed in today's challenging world filled with opportunities and surprises. The next 12 weeks, you will be engaged with interactive resources, discussions, real-life scenarios that will help you develop your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. 

The learning materials provided in this blog will transform your placement dreams into reality! With the resources provided you'll gain the competitive edge to succeed and make your career aspirations a tangible achievement. To comprehend your progress a digital portfolio will be maintained  to support you when ever and where ever required. The learning materials will have formative assessments at the end of each chapter, and a final cumulative assessment will be provided at the end of the course.

Objectives: 

  • By the end of this course, learners will be able to communicate confidently in everyday situations, using appropriate vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation to convey their ideas and needs. 
  • The learners will develop the skills to comprehend and respond to various types of texts, including emails, reports, and instructions, to function successfully in an English-speaking work environment.
  • Upon completing this course, learners will be able to participate confidently in verbal and non-verbal communication, including presentations, meetings, and conversations, to achieve their personal and professional goals
  • The learners will acquire the ability to write clear, concise, and well-structured texts, such as emails, memos, and letters to effectively convey their message and achieve their intended purpose.
